This is a bit of a long shot, but why not? I’m an incoming JET coming in August and I thought I’d just reach out to see if anyone has previously, currently or is going to be a JET on Osakikamijima in Hiroshima!
Maybe better to ask in Hiroshima group chats or social media pages specifically? reddits kind of a wide net.

Wikipedia tells me the island has a population of about 7,000. Most people in placements that size are the only ALT at their BOE. That might sound intimidating, but it’s not so bad! I’m in a super small town and am the only ALT and it gives you a great opportunity to get to know all your kids on a personal level.
