What is the ちゃ after verbs for?

Hi guys! So I’ve been playing loads of Japanese games recently and I keep coming across ちゃって and ちゃ in general really and I have no idea what it’s form, I thought it might be for passive for but I’m not sure (still don’t understand passive form very much either), yeah I’m about low N4 Level, but I just keep getting stuck on this bit of Japanese grammar as I can’t find an answer anywhere and my browser is hurrendous for searching up Japanese terms. 皆さん、どうもありがとう!

  1. Some possibilities:
    1) It’s the casual spoken form of Vてしまう/しまった。For example, 食べてしまった—>食べちゃった。 飲んでしまう—>飲んじゃう

    2) It’s the casual spoken form of Vてはいけない or Vてはだめ。For example, 食べてはダメだ—>食べちゃダメ。 Or, 行かなくてはいけない—>行かなくちゃいけない

  2. On top of what everyone has explained, sometimes we use なんちゃって to be a bit cheeky and imply what was said before was a joke
