What I’ve come to figure out is there is a fair bit of range in the Japan subreddit, which is actually not a bad thing. There are really young people on here – probably teens or early 20s students – there are corporate types, oldish types, military-related, etc. I posted a question a week or so ago and got a few really snarky responses (some were clearly younger people) and more measured and/or very interesting perspectives.
