I created a Minecraft community for Japanese learners – on a real map of Japan- with language learning feature like vocab quizzes!

Hi everyone, I have benefitted immensely from the learning resources posted here over the years and I’ve decided to give back.

This is Yuugaku, a Minecraft server designed for the J-learning community. There are custom features like vocab quizzes that reward you with in-game cash (yen). The map is also a giant scaled-down replica of Japan, with accurate terrain.

Minecraft is a great learning vector because the sandbox nature of it allows for expressive communication.
