Beaches that are a day trip from Osaka?

Tomorrow is my last day in Japan and I am currently in Osaka

I was planning to go to universal studios Japan mostly for super Mario world but I’m relatively exhausted and have seen the normal universal studios (unless it’s really worth it then i will force myself to have energy)

I was thinking of instead going to a beach nearby osaka and just enjoying it and reading and eating some local food

Are there any beaches nearby, maybe a max of 1hr on train?

  1. Suma beach. Take the JR Kobe Line Rapid train to Suma station, and the beach is literally next to the station. Not sure if anything is open though — it’s not a beach season. You can also visit nearby Maiko station to see the Akashi-Kaikyo bridge, and maybe Akashi station for some park and food — the local food is Akashi Yaki (similar to Tako-Yaki but made with egg instead of batter).

Alternatively, you can try Otsu. There are a few beach along the Biwako coast.

Nah, I did the “nothing to do tomorrow might as well buy a ticket to Universal” a few weeks ago and it wasn’t worth it. If you’ve already seen Harry Potter World in Universal USA then the only thing worth seeing in Osaka is Super Mario World, which I had to wait 7 hours to get into due to the queue system.
