Just got notification from guarantor, how f’ed am I

Before you lecture me, yes I know my bad I forgot to pay rent on time due to a combination of things stressing me out. It won’t happen again.

I just got a text from my guarantor company that they paid the rental owner and to pay them a substitute. I rushed to the nearest Conbini and paid in full. Will this do any long term harm? Does it get reported to the police?

  1. You should be fine. If you paid quickly and don’t repeat the stunt, nothing is likely to happen, except maybe some fees. If, however, it reoccurs, then the guarantor company may sue you plus you may be expelled from your roost.

  2. nothing gonna happen.

I also forgot to pay my rent back in 2012 and nothing happened. Relax.

  3. Ya fucked up and made good. Don’t make a habit of it.

If you are stressed and forgetful is there a way you can set up automatic payment?

Don’t worry about police. If forgetting to pay rent on time was a criminal offense I’d not be typing to you now.

Just don’t do this again it causes stress and could potentially prevent you from renting in the future as they do talk to each other
