As per every Thursday morning—this week’s complaint thread! Time to get anything off your chest that’s been bugging you or pissed you off.

Rules are simple—you can complain/moan/winge about anything you like, small or big. It can be a personal issue or a general thing, except politics. It’s all about getting it off your chest. Remain civil and be nice to other commenters (even try to help).

Cat wakes me up everyday at 6am for pets and food and it’s driving me crazy. I’ve tried putting extra food at night but it didn’t work. I also try ignoring him but then he just meows noon stop.
Petrol stations. I go there to fill up my car and then pay.
– Do you have a customer card?
– Do you have the app?
– Do you have a QR code?
– Do you have a point card?
– Put in your credit card
– Do you actually want to use the credit card? Uhm… yes?
– Meanwhile some attendant with a clipboard comes over to sell you something that makes this process even more convoluted…
… and then after filling up I have to stare at the screen to wait for their damn roulette animation to finish so I can have my receipt.
I just want fuel!
Rant over.
Been waiting for this thread.
Our team used to do file transfer remotely using teamviewer. It was easy to install and got the work done in 10 min.
In the name of security now the IT dept has asked to install bunch of complex vpn softwares which are interconnected and have login ids/passwords generated each hour. Oh and there are bunch of expensive nec routers need to attach to Remote Desktops.
Gosh just stop using fax & proprietary softwares from the 90s. That’s called DX. Stop making our lives difficult. Oldies who operate those remote desktops and barely have any knowledge about computers are getting furious.
Seeing the elderly unkempt female diner just take a big handful of wet wipes in ootoya restaurant and putting in her bag in full view of everyone.
Paragraphs, people.
When posting **enormous wedges** of text unmarred by line breaks, you’re not communicating, you’re causing blindness and high blood pressure.

I have to pick up my My Number card within *x* days, but because of COVID-19 restrictions, I have to make an appointment for pickup. Fair enough: I applaud you.
The next available date is in *x + 9* days.
COVID-19 booster information sheet has only a QR code and nowhere is the URL written. I have to use my smartphone to read the URL, prop the phone up next to the keyboard, and type in the URL to the computer from there.
i’m traveling with my puppy next month. the entry requirements for entering US are very lax, but returned to japan requires a lot of paperwork. she’s asp getting spayed soon and i’m worried about little angel baby being in pain
also i applied for the plastic my number card in august and still haven’t gotten it jfc
How the fuck is it only goddamn Thursday?! This week has been so painfully long.
The bloated orange cunt in my home country announced he’s running for president again. Hopefully he cannibalizes right wing votes so hard they utterly crumble. Of course they’ll probably just rally around him again because “strong” man.
Still more than five weeks until I can go visit my girlfriend. No direct flights and the indirect ones cost more than I’d like. It could be worse, but it could be better, too. Wanted to secure the ticket price now in case it goes up, so I’m nearly broke until payday.
I have no pants for work as they no longer fit. It’s getting colder. I’m on that tights + one piece combo. I don’t want to buy work maternity clothes because none of it is satisfactory to me for what you pay. Also baby is kicking up a storm (it’s great! But also getting uncomfortable since he doesn’t stop) I always heard they didn’t start kicking until 24+ weeks but at 22 I feel like he’s doing somersaults in my belly. Future gymnast?
My broken toe isn’t healing and has in fact gotten worse according to my second xray. I asked the doctor if I should take leave and be on bedrest he says no, no, no you can go to work just don’t run, walk or stand and you’ll be fine.
*laughs in kinder teacher*
I point out my occupation and he says well, just be careful.
If my next xray is worse I’m gonna push for medical leave.
At least work has me off the cleaning/daycare rotation. I’m still doing lessons but outside of that I can sit down most of the time.
I had a sudden meeting scheduled for Friday morning despite planning to use that time to play the new Pokemon while pretending to work from home.
So baby wipes have doubled in price? What the Franklin?!? My kids aren’t babies but we still use the wipes for cleaning off dirty mouths and hands.
The last box I got from amazon was ¥1600 and now they’re ¥3000?? Other brands too are all over ¥3000! There is inflation, then there is a tax on parents. This is a tax on parents. No wonder parents don’t want kids anymore.
Is it holiday season or opened borders… because the hotel prices in Tokyo have tripled. Feels very inconvenient having to pay 20k for the room which was 8k a month back.
Masayoshi son cronies charged me 5500 yen for cancelling yahoo broadband connection initiated in 2014. 😒. Avoid SoftBank
~All I want for Christmas is a good night’s sleep~
Baby is 8 months old now and still doesn’t sleep longer then 3-4 hours.
New work isn’t any less chaotic. Added one more chunk of responsibility and still can’t use internal resources without some kind of problem.
Not to mention I am paid for the lowest tier of work despite technically needing to manage teams…
The windowless men’s toilet at work has a motion detector placed just inside the door. It turns off the light two minutes after it last detected movement. It does not detect movement in the sit-down toilet stall.
those drivers who absolutely have to make the green light even if it means clogging up the intersection, to the point that it impedes oncoming traffic. admittedly that intersection and the one following it are terribly designed and are pretty much just made to create traffic jams during rush hour, but blocking traffic does not help anyone!!
