I’ve been lucky enough to gain entry to the Tokyo Marathon on March 5 2023. This will be my fifth trip to Japan but my first full marathon, and I’m incredibly excited.
I’m hoping to turn my marathon experience into a trip for the family (wife and two children, 5 and 2) for a couple of weeks or so. When we’ve traveled Japan previously, it’s always been in the warmer months (May-September).
I’d love any and all recommendations for traveling in Japan at that time of year- are there any particular events or activities that take place in the first half of March? Anywhere that’s particularly great to visit that time of year?
