Gifting in Japanese

If I were to write on a present “To Sarah”, how would I do that in Japanese?

Also, how would a Japanese person write the name of another person on their present?

  1. So you write the kanji/katakana of the other person with the へ particle (e.g. セーラへ).

  2. If it’s to friend or family 〇〇へ, for someone less close 〇〇さんへ, if you need any sort of formality e.g. letter/gift to a higher up, invitation to a wedding, just put 様 after their name
