“We have investigated ourselves and found ~~no~~ very little wrongdoing”
I personally account for 4 of these cases in 2021, which unlucky bugger got the other two?

No surprises here. Their ineptitude is profound. It’s easier to pump up numbers fixating on foreigners, meanwhile their stations are chockablock of wanted posters of locals they can never seem to catch. But hey let’s focus on the Gaijins driving cars because, ya know, to quote the officer, *”It’s rare for a foreigner to be driving a car.”*
Reading the article, it seems to imply that they only count it as racial profiling if the person has Japanese citizenship.
Which is problematic in its own way – so, now only Japanese citizens have basic human rights or something? The police can racially profile you, but only if you’re foreign. And they’re supposed to know you’re foreign by……..racially profiling you.
It’s just a weird, circular logic that takes them right back to the same place they started.
