  1. This looks sick. Anyone in Akita know if there are ways to get a decent view of this event without forking out for these dumb reserved tickets? Maybe a park or some other area to sit?

  2. I went once. It was easy to find spots to sit, but the drive home was absolutely brutal. Didn’t get home till late the next morning. If I went again, I’d just plan on sleeping in the car or a tent.

  3. Went to this in 2019. It’s probably the best firework show I’ve ever been to. The designs of the explosions, the timing of the music, the atmosphere. Ticket costs are expensive, but I *highly* recommend it if you are a fan of firework craftsmanship.

I live in Iwate and drove here by car through Morioka, Iwate -> Daisen, Akita. Friends told me about the traffic they experienced before so I pre-planned my route and parking areas. I saw they made detour routes and I even [made a Google Map of it just to be safe](https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/3/edit?mid=1pwCoUty9eIXncDAbE08R-jjaSUOR6KcR&usp=sharing). I even put backup parking areas just in case some were full and made a one-hour walking ring.

I think it helped my experience driving in and out of the town.

After the event, I took my time walking back to my car and let everyone go first. The drive back home was surprisingly smooth. I only started hitting traffic when I got a few blocks away from Route 46. I feel like I skipped all of the traffic from the main road.

I am 100% planning to go to the event again this year.
