Hi travelers! Next year I’m trying to give a shot solo traveling in Japan, after going once with a friend some years ago. One part of the trip I’m planning to go to Yokohama, but I’m not sure where to visit, and if my days will be full or not. I feel that Yokohama is such a large city but I feel I couldn’t find much to do there. Any help and recommendations is kindly appreciated.
**Day 1 – Yokohama**
* Motomachi St. and Harbor View Park
* Gundam Factory
* Chinatown (+ lunch)
* Yokohama Stadium
* Yokohama Marine Tower (or the Sky Garden Observatory is better?)
**Day 2 – Yokohama**
* Yokohama Air Cabin to Unga Park
* World Porters
* Marine & Walk
* Hammerhead
* Cup Noodles Museum
* Landmark Plaza
* Sky Garden Observatory (if I don’t go to Marine Tower the day before)
* Queen’s Square
I feel that the 2nd day is too busy, does any of the activities of the 2nd day should be transferred to the 1st day? (perhaps Landmark Plaza?)

Yokohama has a really nice atmosphere. we didn’t do a ton of things there. really enjoyed chinatown, the Ferris wheel and views of Mount Fuji. it’s commuting distance to Tokyo and you can easily visit Kamakura. it’s just lovely and relaxed place to base yourself. I am always amazed at how much people try to do in one day. if I did one thing in a day, I’d feel successful.
Not sure if this was on your mind when visiting the minatomirai area but Cosmo world! It’s a small theme park right next to world porters. I’d recommend the ferris wheel, it’s got a great view of the city and bay at the same time. And the rollercoaster too for a short thrill if you’re up for that.
