“4 months to N5” program worth it?

Hello All, I’m definitely a learner who benefits from a structured environment, with an instructor who is available at any time for questions and who is adept, with excellent training materials. I can have all of the above with a certified N1 speaker, from the same country as me, who would be able to explain the nuances of the language vs. English etc. (I’m a huge grammar geek). I don’t doubt that I can get to N5 with this program, I’m just wondering if there’s anyone else who has used something similar as a starting point? It would cost about the same as a 3 credit class at a state school in the US, so not extravagant. I’ve just been puttering along for 6 months, making very little progress due to my life and lack of focus. Thanks all in advance! I know there’s no perfect way to learn a language, so l’m very open minded.

  1. It sounds like you’ve identified that this seems like the best tactic for you personally, so if money isn’t an issue I say go for it. If you’re worried about the program itself, 4 months to N5 is definitely doable either by self study or with a tutor, but either way not trivial and will require diligent work.
