Looking for advice here if my itinerary is at least realistic enough without being overwhelming!
I will be going solo, also not big into attraction sites like theme parks, temples, and shrines, maybe will buy some local or anime-themed merchandise but my main focus is sightseeing and visiting areas in games or anime I’ve played like Kabukicho – Yokohama (Yakuza series) and Love Live (Tokyo – Numazu) 🙂
Some questions beforehand:
1. I already booked my hotel in Tokyo for 1 night in Ryogoku area near the station (arriving with an acquaintance but we will have separate planning for the trip, mine is longer). Should I look for a new hotel nearest the town center (I heard Asakusa is highly recommended) or book new days in the same hotel at Ryogoku?
2. Looking for recommendations for what train passes to get for this itinerary! Also how to look out for the operating hours of trains in each area and avoid rush hours
**Feb 9 (Thu) – Narita to Tokyo**
* Arrive in Narita at 8:00 pm, train to hotel in Ryogoku
* Night rest
**Feb 10 (Fri) – Tokyo**
* Morning: DiverCity Tokyo Plaza
* Afternoon: Shibuya Station (for Shibuya Crossing – Hachiko Statue)
* Night: Kabukicho
**Feb 11 (Sat) – Tokyo**
* Sightseeing around the city, maybe will shop in Akihabara.
* Maybe will look for a new hotel to stay for two nights
* Feel free to suggest the best time to visit/when is the best time to experience the area!
**Feb 12 (Sun) – Yokohama**
* Morning – Train to Yokohama, Yokohama Cup Noodle Museum
* Evening – Yokohama Cosmoworld
* Night – Return to Tokyo, probably checking Akihabara once more
**Feb 13 (Mon) – Numazu**
* Morning – Train from Tokyo, checking in new hotel for 1 night stay
* Sightseeing around the town
**Feb 14 (Tue) – Feb 16 (Thu) – Osaka**
* Likely will only visit Dotonbori and Shinsekai in this area
* Looking for hotel in Osaka, suggest me which area to pick!
* I probably will visit Kyoto for a one day trip
Feb 17 (Fri) – Departure Flight from Kansai Airport
I feel like my itinerary is a bit uninspiring compared to most, so I’ll appreciate your advice!
