Hey so I was just wondering how to explain the lyrics of the song “I Love You So” by The Walters to my non-native English Speaking Japanese friend. She asked why there was a “So” at the end of the phrase. How do I explain the nuance to her that it is just a little different than “I love you?” Can anyone put it into words?

>ただの「I love you」と「I love you so」の違いは、「I love you so」の方が”愛している度”が強めです。つまり、「so」は、「I love you」を強調するために付けられていることになります。
