Hi. Our plan is to leave Tokyo on a day 1 (wednesday) by train to Nagano for Jigokudani Monkey Park and stay for one night at Yudanaka Onsen. Next day heading to Kanazawa and stay there for two nights. Then continue by bus on day 4 to Shirakawa-go and stay there for one night. Going on by bus to Hida-Takayama and stay there for one night. On day 6 we will take a bus to Okuhida Onsen and stay there for another night before heading by bus to Matsumoto, see the castle and jump on a train to stay anywhere with a good Mt. Fuji view, maybe Kofu or even at the five lakes area before going back to Tokyo on day 8 (wednesday). Will this allow us enough time to explore the sights on our way, or would one additional night at one of these places make this journey much more enjoyable? if yes, where should we add it?
The Three-Star Route Ticket will cover the bus journey between Kanazawa and Matsumoto. Will it be possible to reserve these bus rides in advance without speaking japanese by phone, or can we just go to the bus station where we buy the pass and ask them to reserve seats for us?
