I sell art at my local farmers market in Portland, Oregon. There’s quite a few Japanese folks who live here, and I’d like to have conversations with them in Japanese. It’d be good practice and also just kinda fun! I usually have a sign in front of my booth with my name, contact info, etc. I was thinking of putting “私わ日本語勉強してる。話してください！”
Is this appropriate? Too demanding? Grammatically correct? I want to be polite! I’m a woman, if that matters?

I believe you may want to study basic particle usage first.

は, not わ. Actually, you can drop 私. Just 日本語を勉強しています is fine.

Sounds too demanding (it’s pretty much a command: “talk!”) lol. Maybe 日本語で話してもOKです?
