Hey everyone,
I moved out from my house in Osaka to Tokyo without realizing that I need a moving out document. I have got all the necessary info regarding how to send and receive it by mail, except that I have no idea which stamps to buy and what envelope from Japan post, and for the document to be returned to me do I need to include only a stamp or even an envelope? I tried talking to the Japan post staff but they were unhelpful.

What did your city hall say? They may just need a normal self addressed envelope with a stamp.
Go to the post office with someone who can speak Japanese, or try to find one with English-speaking staff.
To be safe, you can buy the letter pack at post office or some konbini (370yen/blue one, no separated stamp needed) and you can track it https://www.post.japanpost.jp/service/letterpack/.
