Psychiatrist in Iwate Prefecture?

I recently moved to Iwate in the Morioka/Kitakami area. I was under treatment by a psychiatrist and taking medication in my home country, and I’m trying to find one here who speaks English, or find a facility that has translators or interpreters available (I’m not familiar with healthcare here, so I don’t know if that’s an option). I’ve found a lot of English-speaking psychiatrists in Tokyo, but the ones I’ve contacted so far (Dr. Kissane at American Clinic Tokyo) are quite expensive, not covered by NHI, and want me to pay out of pocket for meds also. (I have done enough research to know that the only “burgers” I should be dealing with in Tokyo come from Mos.) Does anyone know of any mental clinics or hospitals in Iwate that have English-speaking doctors, or any other clinics in Tokyo that might do video visits? I also know there’s a US Air Force base in Aomori, I’m willing to travel there also if there is someone off base that could help.

I know that my mental health care is extremely important, and I’ve been looking into this since well before the move and wasn’t having any luck. Of course, I wasn’t able to ask for advice here until after I moved, so I didn’t just come here with absolutely no research beforehand. I just don’t want anyone thinking I came into this situation completely unprepared. I also searched the sub for any info specific to Morioka, Iwate, Tohoku, etc. and didn’t find anything here, so please forgive me if this has been answered and I wasn’t able to find it!

  1. If you have Facebook, there’s a group called Iwate Co-op that would probably be helpful for not only this but anything Iwate related. It helped me a lot when I lived in the area.

  2. I don’t know for sure that they’ll do video visits, but Kokoro no Clinic in Higashi Shinjuku has an English-speaking therapist and in my limited experience prices are closer to what you’d pay for non-mental-heath treatment
