Locating old pension number from Nagano

I’m in an odd situation where I have two pension numbers. I was made aware of it from a huge bill that was given to me recently.

As I have been paying my pension consistently, my work has informed me that the bill would have come from a second still-active pension in Nagano, and that this bill has been transferred to my new pension. One of the heads mentioned that he can get the bills cancelled, but that they will need my old pension number.

I can’t seem to locate it, and am wondering what the best way to find it might be? I’m wondering if going to the pension office here in Kyoto is not an option – as this has not been suggested to me – and that I will perhaps have to go back to Nagano to find it (which seems silly, but you never know). I’ve contacted form employers and they weren’t able to assist unfortunately.

Thanks in advance.
