I have been living in Japan for 7 years, moved around quite a bit and I’m thinking to find a more long term place to live (rental). I want to live in Osaka (I already live here) or fairly close to it. I work fully remote so anywhere within ~30 minutes from Umeda or Namba is fine. My budget is around 12 man, but I’d go higher for an amazing place.
Basically so far I’ve been looking on Suumo but I wonder if anyone has some advice. I’m not in a particular hurry.
I’ve been looking for something that:
– has a lot of light
– spacious, allows me to have a living room with couch kind of thing
– possibly an isolated house since I plan to play the guitar
– big kitchen with 3 fires
– as a side note, I’m very tall
Do you guys have any advice about what’s the best way to look for such a place?

Have to talked to a real estate agent?
Suumo?
If you’re willing to pay 120,000 for a “permanent” place, you could buy a fully new 3LDK condo 20 minutes from Umeda and it would be orders of magnitude better quality than a 120,000 yen rental.
Even if you did a 15 or 20 year loan, 120,000 yen could get you a 1LDK within biking distance of Umeda.
Suma/Akashi, but a little far from Umeda.
Could try Okamoto or Nishinomiya but might stretch your budget for a nicer place.
