Shipping company for sending an iPhone from Canada?

My wife and I just tried to send new iPhones from Canada via Canada Post but they got returned to sender because of the battery.

The box includes a battery sticker that says UN3481 on it which apparently made Canada Post not want to take responsibility for sending it.

If you successfully sent an iPhone from
Canada, which company did you use? FedEx? DHL? UPS? We don’t mind paying the customs fee.

Thanks!

  1. Put the box inside another box, don’t mention exactly what it is, and pray for the best.

I’ve been sent a Nintendo Switch, which has a lithium ion battery, this way by my lil’ bro.

  2. USPS rules specifically say that outer package must not include any IATA battery related stickers, and I’m guessing Canada post is the same.

since shipping battery installed in device is actually allowed, remove/cover the stickers, put the phone into another outer box, declare contents as “mobile phone, battery in equipment < 100Wh” and there should be no problem sending it.
