Barsupplies in Japan (Aichi-ken)

Hi guys,

If this is the wrong subreddit, please let me know.

I am a professional hospitality manager working in Nagoya-area, Aichi-Ken, Japan. I left the most of my tools at home when I came to Japan and I was wondering where I can buy professional bartools. I am talking about:

– jiggers
– shakers (I only saw the creamshakers here)
– barspoons
– siffon
Etc. Etc.

I found some things in Tokyo Hands, but it’s definitely not the quality that I would like to use.
The reason why I left those af my home country, is because I have seen so much fascinating things about Japanese bartendering that I assumed there would be enough places to buy tools / bitters etc.

Can someone help me out?

Thanks in advance!

  1. For wholesale kitchen ware, including bar supplies, I see [調理村](https://www.google.com/maps/place/%E6%A5%AD%E5%8B%99%E7%94%A8+%E8%AA%BF%E7%90%86%E6%9D%91/@35.1707394,136.9963863,15.75z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x600365689f99444b:0x8d97caa1e85a5e43!2z5qWt5YuZ55SoIOiqv-eQhuadkQ!8m2!3d35.171392!4d137.003548!3m4!1s0x600365689f99444b:0x8d97caa1e85a5e43!8m2!3d35.171392!4d137.003548) and [テンポス](https://www.google.com/maps/search/%E3%83%86%E3%83%B3%E3%83%9D%E3%82%B9/@35.1802527,136.8200895,12z) (4 locations) recommended a few times. This is based on zero knowledge on my part – just some online searches.

But for higher end items, maybe head to a bar and ask the bartender where they buy their stuff.

  2. Your best bet is probably to buy those items in Tokyo and ship them back to Aichi. There’s a famous street for all kinds of restaurateur/kitchenware items called [Kappabashi](https://www.kappabashi.or.jp/) where you can find them.

Since you’re particular about quality, most likely you wouldn’t want to be buying your items online but instead being able to see/touch them to figure if it matches your expectations, and going to Kappabashi will cover that.
