I’ve been living here for a few months now and don’t understand why I get 3-4 gas bills per month. They are always for different amounts and are not connected to my electric bill. I also know the difference between the readings and actual bills I have to pay. Can anyone explain to this dumb gaijin why i’m getting so many?

You’re either paying someone else’s bills or you’re reading them wrong.
Sometimes you get readings which aren’t actual bills, but look a bit similar. Maybe this is what you are referring to?
Are they *really* all bills with a bar code/withdrawal slip if you’re paying direct withdrawal? If so you probably need to call since you should only be getting one per month.
Is there anyone you can show these to? Friend, colleague, neighbour, landlord? I don’t wanna recommend you upload here, but it’d be the easiest way to work it out. No shame in asking!
