I’m native Japanese but have been living overseas for over 15 years. I currently teach IGCSE A level ICT / CS at an international school in Thailand . I’ll start teaching IB soon.
I started thinking that I may want to go back to Japan eventually and wonder if international schools in Japan hire Japanese person as a subject teacher.
I’ve been gone from Japan so long and it may be a bit difficult to fit in traditional school culture this is why I’m thinking about this.
Does anyone know about it ?

Yeah, it’s pretty common. Some international schools are almost entirely Japanese staffed, it’s all about what the individual school happens to be looking for.
If you look in the countryside, you’ll find plenty of Japanese-staffed international schools.
Yup. Careful, many IB schools are elite private schools especially if they are IBDP. Ritsumikan Uju, for example, is an IB school but is really a high social class “ladder school” that only accepts the highest class Japanese students.

If the school doesn’t offer DP, don’t bother. Many of the IB schools that can’t offer DP are shitty schools.
You shouldn’t have too much of a problem.
You’ll likely have more of a problem finding a job in an IB school without IB experience, even then, ICT/CS at A level is pretty marketable.
You’ll be fine! Good luck!
