  1. Looks great! What recipe did you use? Mapo tofu has been one of my favorite recipes since I discovered it.

    I tend to replace doubangjang with Lao gan ma sauce (the one with black beans if possible). I love it

    Isn’t Mapo Tofu a Chinese dish, though? I’m Chinese and used to have it all the time as a kid back home ❤️❤️

  3. God I loooove mapo, been wanting to make some but just haven’t. There’s a dumpling place near me that has some of the spiciest mapo I have ever had in my life. It’s so hot it makes my mouth actually numb LOL. I always make the Japanese kind when I make it at home.
