I’ve been thinking of using the Quartet book series for intermediate learning, but I first need to start at the beginner or elementary level. I have the complete textbooks of Minna no Nihongo. Is that enough, or do you have some recommended books for beginners? N5-N4.
My learning plan would be:
Minna no Nihongo Beginner I
Minna no Nihongo Beginner II
Minna no Nihongo Intermediate I
Minna no Nihongo Intermediate II
Quartet Textbook I and Workbook I
Quartet Textbook II and Workbook II
Nihongo Sou-matome N3, N2, N1

either minna no nihongo intermediate or quartet, both would be a “waste” as both series cover ~n3-n2, other than that this seems fine
Genki and then Quartet is my personal recommendation. Supplement with the Dictionaries of Beginner and Intermediate Grammar.
