  3. OP my guess would be
    ま、マンモス

    ん、カワウソ（川獺）that they may have tried to make ん look like 川 as the only way to kinda fit it in somehow.

  4. These are my best guesses:

    め/ mekajiki/ swordfish

    ん/nezumi/rat, and no I don’t think ん can begin words either. I think the artist bent the rules so that the character could still be included in the sticker set.

    る/ruri-goshi-botan-inko / Fischer’s Lovebird

    I still have no idea what animal ま is supposed to look like.

    め……めだか/メダカ (Japanese rice fish)
    A popular pet fish in Japan.

    る……るり○○/ルリ○○ (lazuline something)
    I personally think it is ルリカケス (Lidth’s jay), which is endemic to the Amami islands, and designated as the bird of Kagoshima Prefecture.

    ん……らいおん/ライオン🦁 (lion)
    Maybe ら is for male lion, and ん is for female lion, I think.
