Why is buying “any” 割烹着Kappogi so expensive ?

I think it has to do it with the fabric.
But I am only looking for a 割烹着Kappogi just to prevent dust and fur etc. , any fabric is okay.
This is why I go to eBay to find
“Lowest Price + Shopping” , but still the results are like $60+.

(Yeah I know they have sewing pattern, I don’t have a sewing machine, and I don’t really know how to sew)

  1. A normal kappogi is basically an apron. They were made with whatever cloth that could be found and in Japan you can find them for under $10.
In niche markets (basically anywhere outside Japan) they are lower in demand and those who buy them tend to be enthusiasts who do not mind spending extra for the “real thing” and so the price gets inflated

  2. If its just the function you’re after, searching with the term ‘long sleeve adult smock’ might help if you haven’t already tried that. Idk where you live but amazon has a few results for under $20 that might be helpful for you.

  3. Try wearing a long jacket or shirt backwards. The pockets won’t be as easily accessible, but it could save you a purchase.

  4. If you can sew, Folkwear Patterns has a Michiyuki pattern that is similar to this. They are a company that is based in Asheville, NC, USA. They have both paper and digital patterns. I have used their patterns before and they are well written.
