Hello everyone!
My friends and I (~20 year olds) are going to Japan’s soon during the winter and would like some advice as to whether to visit hokkaido or nagano.
We’re going to Osaka and Tokyo and then on to somewhere with a lot of snow because we’ve never really seen snow coming from Australia 🤣.
Our interests are anime, a little skiing maybe (complete beginners), food and aesthetic environments.
If we do go to hokkaido we’d likely have to book a flight from Tokyo to get there, as the shinkansen might chew up too much time. (We’ve only allowed around 2 days for this part of the trip).
We’d be going during the time that the Sapporo winter festival is on and I’ve heard that the food in hokkaido is hard to beat.
