I’m struggling in school 😭

Hello I’m currently living in Japan. I have been living in here for 5 years. I started school during late grade 1 but for some reason it’s so hard to learn the language. I’m currently in grade 7 in an international school and I’ve heard that in my school there will be 4 Japanese tests in grade 10. (In my school if you fail 2 tests during a term then you fail or get kicked)
What can/should I do?
(If your wondering why my English sucks. It’s because English is not my first language)

  1. Others will surely give you better advice then me however here is my 2yens worth:

Your international school is not the whereall and endall of your education career. Your school does not define who you are, you do. You have your native language, English language (which is fine!) plus Im sure your Japanese is better than you think. You are already well ahead of many of your peers.
Relax. Keep doing your best. The rest will surely fall into place. Grade 10 is three years away. You have lots n lots of time. If there is one thing which living in Japan offers you it’s lots of opportunity to study Japanese. You got this. Stay focused, keep your eyes on the prize. Good luck!!

  2. Go to a pure Japanese school, avoid using any other language, even with friends and at home, and especially your hobbies.
    Make everything Japanese.
You’ll be fluent in a year.

  3. First ask yourself: Why did you go to Japan?

I’m not joking. If you want to live/work in Japan you need to learn Japanese hard. No other ways. Learn as people do. Learn as hard as you can. This is the only answer.
I really hope you can do it. 頑張れ
