Is it easy to rent an apartment in Fukuoka as a foreigner?

I’m planning on moving to Fukuoka due to my job next year. And I’m a little concerned after hearing so many horror stories of foreigners and their apartment hunting experiences. I’m assuming a lot of them happened in Tokyo but idk.

Anyone lived or is currently living in Fukuoka can tell me what it’s like?

  1. Happens all over Japan.

You just have to keep trying till you find that landlord who will accept a gaijin.
Or you can try UR apartment.

  2. How did you get your current apartment? Did you have trouble with discrimination then?

Your work might be able to support you as a guarantor or introduce you to a real estate agency that is familiar with working with foreigners. Maybe consult with them?
