What are some words that JLPT (especially N3) like to test?

For example, I’ve noticed that the first section of the JLPT loves to test non-standard readings of words based on kanji (e.g. 留守 instead of りゅうす or something idk) but I have no idea where to look for a list of these funny words, or what else they like to test

  1. Check out a vocabulary list for the level and then read through it looking for non standard readings would be my only suggestion.

  2. 新完全マスター has an N3 vocab book

I have it and it’s ok. I think it doesn’t actually give enough vocab to pass N3, but the words in it would still be good to learn for N3 if that makes sense.

IDK how it stacks up to reading and just mining words. Maybe someone can chime in.
