Looking for simple content for comprehension. Anime, series, films, anything with visuals that is fun and does not require eloquence to appreciate, really.

Not exactly an utter beginner, but it would be nice if visual narration assisted storytelling to a noticeable degree. I want to watch something, but most popular or known things require significant familiarity with language to appreciate complex points, so it’s hard to feel not missing out on something.

  1. I’ve been watching cardcaptor sakura recently. Main character is 10ish years old so the language is pretty simple, and the episodes follow a consistent monster of the week model so its easy to follow along.

Netflix has (in the US at least) both sets of subtitles, english & japanese, so you can watch with japanese first & double check w/ the english if theres a scene you feel like you missed/want to double check
