It’d be nice if Japan could finally cut out the middle man, and sell anime directly.

Bit of a small rant first: American english dubbed anime is garbage.
5 to 10 years ago I would of defended it, but not in today’s politically correct bullshit era. As if localization was an iffy subject already, the censorship is out of control, and far more stricter than typical Japanese standards now.

So let me ask you all this, why would anyone pay for something censored? Especially when sometimes it’s advertised as “Uncut”?
You wouldn’t, right? Why waste your money?
So what if there’s no way to buy the uncensored version thanks to the idiots in charge running the way things are by THEIR ideological standards?

Well the only other choice is the Yo-ho, Yo-ho sail the seven seas method. – That doesn’t help anyone.

I wish Japanese publishing/licencing companies could just put a little more effort into selling anime directly and online, even if it’s subtitled only. I’d buy it.

But I fear even that is impossible now given the crap situation that’s happening to Pixiv recently, being held on a tight leash by American Credit Card companies saying: “You’re not suppose to buy immoral content, and it’s us that tells you if it’s immoral or not.” That type of pseudo-communist shit.

Can’t Japanese banks convert Dollars to Yen? Aren’t there little cards that already do that? So then why depend on these American card companies then?

[Edit] A stupid bot thought this post was transcription request.

  1. It’s honestly probably just easier and more cost effective for them to continue as they are doing now. They also probably don’t care.

If there is one thing Japanese corporations hate more than copyright violations, it’s changing business practices.

  2. While I don’t fully comprehensive your content, I understand you are frustrating. I have my own frustration about manga publications.

  3. Ahh yes, those well known advocates and practisioners of communism, American credit card companies.
