I was hoping to get some input on my itinerary. I’ve never been to Japan and my Japanese is rudimentary at best, but I know A LOT of signage is in English, so I should be able to survive!

Shopping excursion: Shibuya, Akihabara, Harujuku
**JAN 17** **UENO**
Royal Museum, other museums, Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, Ameyoko at night for shopping/window shopping
**JAN 18** **YOKOHAMA**
Cup Noodle Museum!, Zeniari Benzaiten Ugafuka (Kamakura)
**JAN 19** **KYOTO**
Kinkaku-ji, Kiyomizu-Dera, find a hotel for the next couple of days
**JAN 20** **KYOTO**
Sanjusangendo, Fushimi Inari Taisha,
**JAN 21** **KYOTO/NARA**
Higashiyama Jisho-ji, Todaiji Temple, Visit the deer in Nara Park
**JAN 22** **HIMEJI**
Himeji Castle, Usukihachiman Shrine, (other ideas welcome)

Any tips and changes welcome! I’ve never been and I know there’s a LOT to do. I planned on playing hotels by ear to keep my schedule flexible.

Looks good. Himeji Castle is amazing but might take most of the day. I’d just do that and head to Hiroshima afterwards.
