12 Days First time Japan Trip Mid May till end of May, tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka for two

Hi, this will be my second time in Japan but first time for my Girlfriend so I am more than happy to do anything old and new

This was roughly copied from another redditor’s itinerary but I’ve adjusted a little. We are still not sure about hotels as we have one day filling in to you. But any recommendations would be appreciated, we’re looking for somewhere mid range, and we dont speak Japanese. We are looking to stay in Kyoto and just take the train to Osaka during the latter half of the trip.

Below I will list main areas we will be in and some of the things we would like to do.

**Day 0.5** May 14 – May 15, 2023

✈ YVR–HND: Arrival \~7PM

\- eat and explore around the hotel. Not exactly sure where we would want the hotel, looking at our Itinerary, I was thinking Shinjuku.

**Activate JR 7 day Pass** as we will be staying in Kyoto and taking the train to Osaka eventually.

**Day 5**🚅 **Tokyo-Kyoto**

**This day is undecided, we can stay an extra day in any of the cities, Maybe extra day in Tokyo before Kyoto?**

Kyoto- Tokyo

**✈ NRT–SIN** flight in the afternoon.

I was thinking when we do the trip from tokyo to Kyoto, we can use a luggage delivery service to bring it to our hotel.
