next year im likely to be scheduled for traveling to thailand for buisness purposes.
however a question poped into my head:
can i apply for a visa to Thailand in embasies in Japan despite holding the nationality/passport on another country(Taiwan).
my immediate intuition is yes, you can; however you can never be too sure hense my question

Yes. I have applied for Thai visa from Japan (with passport from a third country).
This was at Thai consulate in Osaka.
A problem I’ve fortunately avoided but almost had with another country’s process was that I could only apply in either the country of your nationality or the country of your residency. might be worth checking on that front
