GU style-heat vs UNIQLO heattech

Cmiiw but my understanding is that they have the same supplier but GU is cheaper. Can GU be a dupe to UNIQLO heat tech? I live in shikkoku island, so not as cold as aomori and hokkaido. Is it enough? I’m from tropical country btw so this is my first time experience winter. How about the durability? Thickness?

  1. I find that Uniqlo’s fabric is better and tend to fray less. Heat wise they are the same.
My advice is Uniqlo for active and outside clothes, and GU for home clothes since you don’t move around so much it won’t chafe.

  2. “Same supplier”, aka, they’re literally the same company. Everything GU sells is a cheaper version of what Uniqlo does, so don’t expect it to be similar in quality or durability. GU stuff will fray, get holes, etc faster

  3. Uniqlo heat tech also comes in 3 levels. I don’t know about GU. You don’t need the top 2 levels in Shikoku.
