Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any information or experience that they could hand down on purchasing from japan. I’ve seen a few proxies sights like neyko, but they had a small category and not the products I was looking for I’ve seen other Reddit posts, but they were even more confusing or seemed outdated. Mainly looking for books both manga, light novels, and regular novels. Copic and art supplies as Japan has excellent stationery, and assortment. From my information, it’s easy to get lost on price, especially on shipping and ill-be-it. I’m concerned with legitimacy and timing.
Would I need to look for a private seller? And is there a forum to set up a proxy and buyer with anyone who is reasonable? and has better local information and advice vs. large websites?
I’m also looking for advice on jRPg games in Japanese, mainly for the switch, but ps4 would also be a good option for someone who has started the Genki level one books. I have absolutely no frame of reference for what would be a good JRPG and am hesitant to use eBay as there seems to be quite a lot of price gageing when you compare the yen to $ and I would prefer to pay the price of the actual product and shipping without the inflation value. But Japanese games of any and all general would be much-welcomed advice for beginner to intermediate learning would also be great! And a side-note why is the PS Vita so popular despite, from what I’ve seen, having a lot of little problems would it be worth it to get a Vita?
