I’ve been seriously studying japanese for about 3 months and was very casually learning vocab and kana in back middle school. I think like alot of other native English speakers the most difficult thing for me is sentence structure, for the last 3 months I’ve taken my notes with the way it would be said in English underneath the Japanese writing, but recently I’ve started writing it in English the exact way it’s said in japanese to help memorize the word placements. Example
私は昨日の晩働きました。
“I was yesterday of night worked”
Instead of
“I worked yesterday night”
Is this an effective way of taking notes/studying and do other people do it this way?
