  2. Him being “free” was a relative term. He had the choice of obscuring himself upon his return to Japan but instead he chose to become a cult icon. Must have been fun at first, but once the novelty wore off all that was left was a feeble, ugly, old man with the worst reputation one could possibly had. While he was not of interest to the police anymore he couldn’t just go outside and interact with other people like other old people do.
    It makes me wonder if he would have lived a fuller longer life if he chose to become anonymous or even served a full prison sentence

  3. Literally just learned about this guy a few days ago and was disturbed by the fact that he was allowed to walk free like nothing happened. I guess that takes care of that.
