I am moving to Japan for a year on a student visa, and they changed some dates around at my school and I had already bought my plane ticket. Has anyone arrived late and skipped their two day language school orientation? I bought trip cancel insurance but rebooking everything would be a nightmare. I emailed my advisor at my school but don’t plan on hearing back from them until Monday. So in the meantime wondering anyone had similar experiences. Thank you.

Yes, several people at my school had to skip orientation because of flight/arrival issues. My other friend who goes to a different language school missed the first couple of weeks. You’ll be fine, I wouldn’t worry about it
