(I understand the nature of my situation makes this post technically against the rules, but I just really need help sorry.)
I just recently moved back to America from Japan a few days ago. I left my bicycle with a friend who agreed to help sell the bicycle in Japan after I’d left. But I just learned that problems with bike registration might arise for anyone potentially looking to buy it. Is there any way to unregister a bicycle in Japan while not physically being in Japan?

I’ve bought used bikes off Mercari and the seller just sent me a paper of consent and I took the paper to the bike shop to re-register in my name. Sorry I don’t know the exact name of the document, but it’s an easy Google search away. Just fill that out and send it to the new owner.
