I’m considering offloading a couple cameras/lenses in Tokyo, probably at Map Camera or Kitamura Camera. I was wondering if there were any restrictions on selling cameras made for the European/US market. I have two concerns:
1. I read somewhere that it was illegal to sell cameras with a silent shutter. If my EU camera has a silent mode, is Map Camera for example likely to refuse it?
2. One of my cameras is a Panasonic LUMIX. It’s a Japanese brand but the model reference is specific to Germany. Whereas in Japan it is called G99, the same model in Germany would be called G91. Should I expect some level of confusion when trying to sell it? Could they refuse it?
