Cottage Cheese and other high-protein foods in Japan

New fitness/nutrition routine requires, cottage cheese, lentil pasta, chickpeas, and chickpea fusilli (pasta).
Anyone have any good (not crazy overpriced) suggestions of where to get these from?
Kaldi has cottage cheese but they come in tiny packs for about 400yen, plus why is it always so….dry?
Amazon.jp seems to want you to buy it in bulk if you want free delivery.
Anyway, any fitness/nutrition fans out there got some good suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!

[Vegetarian suggestions please!]

  1. I love to eat cottage cheese (USA style) but the cottage cheese here is, as you say, dry. If you buy some yogurt and mix it together, you’ll basically have what you’re used to. Many supermarkets carry cottage cheese at reasonable prices. Both of my locals do: AEON and Seiyu.

  2. Donki has the 雪印 北海道 brand for ¥350ish per 200g. Probably as good as it gets here.

  3. Lentil and chickpea pasta is gonna be difficult to get cheaply. I would just get regular lentils and chickpeas from gyomu.
