20-Day Itinerary – Yokohama/Osaka/Kyoto – Review

Hi people!

I’m planning on doing my second travel to Japan on mid-March, and since I already extensively explored Tokyo, I would like to go to Yokohama, Osaka and Kyoto. Any tips regarding the feasibility of this itinerary is greatly appreciated!

Ps. it is very summarized, but I plan to go to other touristic attractions near the mentioned ones.

# Day 1 – Arrival at Narita

* Go to Yokohama via NEX and check-in at hotel

# Day 2 – Yokohama

* Sankeien Garden
* Minatomirai Area

# Day 3 – Yokohama

* Cosmo World, Cosmo Clock and area

# Day 4 – Yokohama

* Harbor View Park, Yamate and Motomachi
* Chinatown
* Gundam Factory

# Day 5 – Transit to Osaka

* Go to Osaka via Tokaido Shinkansen and check-in at hotel
* Dotonbori

# Day 6 – Osaka

* Dotombori and area (Americamura, Namba City and other shopping centers)
* Hozenji Temple

# Day 7 – Osaka

* Osaka station area (LINKS UMEDA, HEP FIVE and other shopping centers)

# Day 8 – Osaka

* Tempozan Park, ferris wheel and area
* Osaka Aquarium

# Day 9 – Osaka

# Day 10 – Osaka

# Day 11 – Transit to Kyoto

* Go to Kyoto via Thunderbird Express and check-in at hotel

* Maruyama Park and Shoren-in Garden

# Day 13 – Kyoto

* Kyoto Imperial Palace, Kyoto Gyoen
* Nijo Castle, Seiryu Garden

# Day 14 – Kyoto

* Higashi-Honganji
* Fushimi Inari-taisha

# Day 15 – Kyoto

* Tenryuji Temple, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

  1. Unless you Kyoto hotel is next to Kyoto station, you might want to use a different train, actually don’t use a limited express, there is other train that are as fast but will be cheaper. If you stay around Gion/Kawaramachi, that I think is more interesting, use Keihan or Hankyu train direct to this area.
