How would an American-Japanese boy and his native Japanese girl cousin greet each other while visiting Japan?

As an informal American example: “Hey what’s up cuz, it’s been a while!” “Yo cousin! How have you been?”

Also, how would the Japanese cousin introduce her American cousin to her friends?

American example “Hey guys this is my cousin __” “I’d like you all to meet __, she’s my cousin.”

  1. It depends. Is the girl still a virgin ? This would determine the length of the sleeves for the kimono used in the introduction ritual.

  2. I’ll defer to native speakers obviously but perhaps something like

    おひさしぶり!この間元気?

    And

    これはいとこの〇〇

The expressions may change significantly depending on how casually the cousins speak to each other though, and of course local dialects may be spoken.

This sounds almost like you’re asking for the sake of a story you’re writing as opposed to personal use, which has piqued my curiosity.
