Giving a gift to my professor

My professor has been teaching me Japanese for a year and a half. I am about to transfer colleges and was wondering what to give her as a gift. I was thinking of giving an お守りbut am wondering if that is something that is appropriate for a student to give to a teacher in a matter of cultural terms. Thanks! Also if it’s not, please share some ideas as I don’t know what students usually give to their teachers in Japan as a way of saying thank you! 😊
