Hi everyone. I already searched around reddit / this subreddit about home gym options but they didn’t answer my thoughts.
I am in the position to set up a home gym, with no real need to consider noise (house in somewhat inaka Mie prefecture). Approx JPY 250,000 budget total, but ofc lower is better.
I am already planning on a mat – wood board – mat sandwich layer to protect the floor, so the set up should be fine. Space is also fine.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with home gym brands here, specifically iROTEC as their amazon stuff seems pretty well priced for a full package (specifically looking at the IROTEC R140 @ \~ JPY 145,000). I like that its a full set up with most of the equipment needed for my usual workouts, weights, bars, etc. (I know you could technically get by with a basic bench + bar set up, I like my cable stuff for variety)
Given the set up, anyone have experience with longevity of the cable wire? That seems to be the main difference in quality between cheap and expensive brands. Its rated relatively well on amazon, with the main complaints just being hard to set up. Or any suggestions otherwise.
Im not looking to get huge, but rather just for personal fitness.

We have a [Body-Solid G1S universal gym](https://www.shapeshop.jp/SHOP/ss1345.html) that we bought about 10 years ago. The plastic insulation around the cables has dried out and is flaking off but the cables themselves are still ok. We also have a Horizon treadmill, rower, and fitness bike that we bought more recently.
I bought a pair of Bowflex adjustable dumbbells(25kg each) and a set of colored resistance bands with handles. It’s all I need for a good workout and it only cost me around 60,000.
Got it all on Amazon too
